Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and caring Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide professional grooming services for dogs and, when applicable, cats while ensuring every pet enjoys a safe, comfortable, and stress-free grooming experience.
The ideal candidate is patient, detail-oriented, and passionate about animal welfare.
Responsibilities
- Groom dogs according to breed standards or customer preferences.
- Bathe, brush, dry, trim, and style pets professionally.
- Clip nails and clean ears safely.
- Perform coat de-shedding and de-matting treatments.
- Identify skin conditions, parasites, or health concerns and report them appropriately.
- Maintain clean and sanitized grooming tools and workstations.
- Ensure pets remain calm, comfortable, and safe throughout the grooming process.
- Communicate with pet owners about grooming recommendations and coat maintenance.
- Recommend appropriate grooming products and pet care solutions.
- Follow all safety and animal handling procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pet Groomer or Grooming Assistant preferred.
- Professional grooming certification is a plus.
- Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds and sizes.
- Knowledge of breed-specific grooming techniques.
- Strong understanding of pet behavior and safe restraint methods.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for animal care and pet wellness.
