What You Actually Do
- Adjust positioning and handling to reduce discomfort for the dog’s specific condition
- Build in more frequent breaks than a standard session might include
- Communicate with the owner about what adjustments were made and why
- Recognize that a standard approach doesn’t automatically serve every pet’s actual needs
